Key Responsibilities
As a Delivery Driver at Aeroton Bakery, your duties will include:
- Accurate Stock Handling:
- Verifying stock loaded aligns with invoices and picking lists.
- Ensuring precise delivery to customers as per invoices.
- Managing Returns and Buy-Backs:
- Handling customer returns and damaged goods with proper documentation.
- Capturing returns accurately using the Handheld Computer device (HHC) and ensuring they are submitted to the Debriefer.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conducting routine checks and adhering to PepsiCo vehicle policies.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of delivery vehicles, both interior and exterior.
- Customer Relations:
- Ensuring all Proof of Delivery (POD) documents are clear and meet company standards.
- Managing delivery assistants effectively and ensuring top-notch customer communication.
- Compliance:
- Adhering to health, safety, and security regulations, including PPE compliance.
- Following road traffic regulations and maintaining adherence to pre-planned route schedules.
Qualifications and Skills Required
To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: Matric certificate.
- Licenses:
- Code 14 (EC) driver’s license with Horse & Trailer expertise.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in using a Handheld Computer device (HHC).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience.
- Skills and Attributes:
- Strong results-oriented mindset and ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
