Job Description
As a Sales Assistant at Galaxy Boy, your primary responsibility is to drive sales through outstanding customer service, product knowledge, and visual merchandising. You will be responsible for assisting customers in finding products, providing recommendations, and ensuring an overall pleasant shopping experience. Additionally, you will play an integral role in stock management and store maintenance to optimize efficiency.

Role Responsibilities
1. Customer Service
- Greet customers warmly upon entering the store
- Assist customers in finding products and making purchase decisions
- Provide expert product knowledge, including materials and care instructions
- Actively upsell and cross-sell products to boost sales figures such as UPT, ATV, Conversion, and Turnover
- Represent the brand professionally, adhering to uniform and grooming standards
- Ensure a positive and engaging shopping experience for all customers
- Educate customers on available payment options, including PAYFLEX, PJN, and Happy Pay
2. Visual Merchandising
- Maintain a thorough understanding of product placement and organization
- Ensure all merchandise is well-presented, tagged, priced, and arranged optimally
- Follow visual merchandising (VM) guidelines to enhance the store’s aesthetics
- Steam, hang, fold, and replenish products regularly
- Optimize retail space to enhance the customer experience and drive sales
3. Stock Control
- Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels on the sales floor
- Assist in replenishing stock on walls and tables as needed
- Keep the stockroom organized and ensure products are placed in the correct categories
- Report stock shortages, best sellers, and customer demands to management
- Receive and unpack product deliveries promptly
- Actively participate in daily and weekly stock replenishments
4. Daily Operations and Housekeeping
- Adhere to time and attendance policies, ensuring punctuality and compliance with rosters
- Process customer transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Handle cash transactions and update variance schedules as required
- Maintain store cleanliness, ensuring all areas, including displays, floors, and surfaces, are well-kept
- Support general store maintenance to provide an inviting shopping atmosphere
