Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with at least one year of relevant work experience OR Grade 12 without related work experience
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and the dominant language spoken in the region
- Valid South African ID or work permit
- Proficiency in basic calculations
- Availability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment
Role Responsibility:
Customer Service
- Assist customers by advising them on the correct products and answering their queries
- Provide resolutions to customer complaints promptly and professionally
- Enhance customer satisfaction through attentive and friendly service
Merchandising Standards
- Ensure bulk stock is safely merchandised according to store layout plans
- Maintain fully stocked shelves as per planograms and company standards
- Monitor and replenish stock levels as needed
Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free shopping environment
- Immediately merchandise stock upon receipt
- Ensure customers can navigate the aisles safely and conveniently
- Perform routine checks and ensure that all shelves have correct price labeling
- Complete the required checklists for canteen and toilet/shower maintenance when on duty
Safety (OHSA) Requirements
- Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations
- Wear and utilize safety gear when required
- Ensure customer and staff safety within the assigned work area
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to the Store Manager
- Keep stock in racking and bulk areas securely merchandised to prevent injuries
Manage Stock Loss
- Report any damaged stock to the Store Manager
- Follow inventory control procedures to minimize stock loss
- Handle stock efficiently to avoid product wastage

- Meet daily and weekly sales targets
- Deliver high-quality work within the established company standards
