Job Description
The Unemployed Learner Packaging Learnership is designed to develop a strong foundation in beverage packaging processes. Selected candidates will be assigned to various CCBSA manufacturing regions and work under the supervision of the Training Controller. The program focuses on theoretical and practical learning, ensuring learners develop the necessary competencies required in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learning about bottling processes and procedures in the beverage industry
- Understanding and applying safety and housekeeping standards
- Conducting quality tests and adhering to product specifications
- Gaining knowledge of food handling and hygiene practices
- Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficiency
- Adhering to workplace policies and regulations
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, adaptable, and have a strong work ethic. This program is specifically aimed at unemployed individuals who are passionate about the manufacturing sector and willing to commit to the 12-month duration.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) qualification with a minimum of:
- Mathematics (40% or higher) (Mathematical Literacy is NOT accepted)
- Physical Sciences (50% or higher)
- Two South African languages (40% or higher)
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be between 18-35 years old
- Must be unemployed at the time of application
- Must be an Employment Equity (EE) candidate
- Must not have previously completed the same qualification or learnership at another company
- Must be willing to commit to the full 12-month program
Role Responsibility
As a learner, your primary responsibility will be to complete all required training modules and gain hands-on experience in food and beverage packaging. The learnership is designed to ensure participants gain real-world experience while being assessed on various competencies throughout the program.
