Job Description
As a Shop Assistant or Cashier at PEP, you will play a crucial role in delivering a world-class shopping experience for every customer. You’ll be part of a lively and supportive team, affectionately called “Dynamos”, who are driven by passion, customer service, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service and professionalism
- Handling transactions efficiently at the till according to company policies
- Minimising stock losses by adhering to security and cash-handling procedures
- Assisting with stock replenishment, merchandising, and promotional displays
- Ensuring the store remains clean, organised, and aligned with brand standards
- Taking accountability for health, safety, and housekeeping in the workplace
- Participating actively in daily operations, team meetings, and store activities
- Upholding PEP’s low-cost culture by reducing wastage and driving efficiencies

Minimum Requirements:
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Matric or equivalent qualification (preferred but not mandatory)

- Ability to work retail hours, including weekends, public holidays, and peak trading periods
- Willingness to work under pressure in a fast-paced store environment
- Good physical condition as the job may involve standing and moving for long periods
- Availability to work up to 27 hours a week
Role Responsibility
As a PEP Shop Assistant or Cashier, your responsibility is more than just ringing up sales. You will represent the brand on the frontline, interacting with customers and ensuring that their shopping experience is memorable for all the right reasons.
Primary Duties:
