Job Description:
As a Team Member, you’ll be at the heart of the restaurant operations, playing a key role in ensuring that every customer enjoys a high-quality meal and excellent service. You will be responsible for various front-of-house and back-of-house duties to support daily restaurant operations.
Your responsibilities include:
- Cooking and preparing KFC food products using approved equipment
- Managing multiple food orders during peak hours
- Prepping and cutting ingredients for efficient cooking
- Assembling and packaging orders accurately and promptly
- Following food safety and preparation charts
- Ensuring kitchen cleanliness and safety standards are maintained
- Receiving, storing, and managing food supplies properly
- Reporting low stock levels or faulty equipment to management
- Assisting with end-of-day closing procedures
Customer-facing responsibilities include:
- Welcoming customers with a friendly attitude
- Recommending menu items and promotional specials
- Using a cash register or POS system to ring up orders
- Processing payments via cash, debit, and credit card
- Handling customer queries and complaints professionally
- Delivering orders to tables, counters, or drive-thru windows
- Keeping front-of-house areas clean and organised
Ideal Candidate:
To qualify for the part-time Team Member role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A completed Matric certificate
- Reside within 15km of the job location
- A clear criminal record
Preferences (Advantageous but not compulsory):
- South African citizenship
- Previous experience in a fast-paced food or retail environment
- Multilingual: Sepedi, Sesotho, isiZulu, English, Setswana, Xitsonga
