Job Description:
Successful applicants will participate in a well-structured Engineer-In-Training (EIT) development programme that aims to transform qualified engineering graduates into capable professionals ready for full-time technical roles within the organisation. The programme includes:
- Rotational assignments through different departments and project sites
- Exposure to live projects under the guidance of seasoned professionals
- On-site visits and fieldwork at various Steinmüller Africa operational locations
- Access to mentorship and coaching by senior engineers and project managers
- Performance evaluations and progress feedback sessions

Ideal Candidate:
To qualify for this role, candidates must be final year students or recent graduates in the following disciplines:
- B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
- B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Structural Engineering
- B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering
- B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering
Academic excellence is key. All academic records will be reviewed for shortlisting, and it’s essential that applicants are able to provide proof of successful completion of their qualifications at the time of application.
Additional requirements include:
- Willingness to travel to various sites, particularly in Mpumalanga and Gauteng
- A valid South African driver’s licence will be considered an advantage
Role Responsibility:
As part of the EIT programme, candidates will have the following responsibilities:
- Support engineering teams in project design, analysis, and implementation
- Participate in project planning and resource management
- Conduct technical research and present findings to team leaders
- Assist with compliance and quality assurance processes on active sites
- Complete assignments and reports as per programme requirements
- Learn and adhere to company safety policies and engineering standards
