Tasks
Successful candidates will be expected to perform the following duties during their placement:
- Provide administrative support to Employment Counsellors.
- Conduct labour market research and analyse employment counselling strategies.
- Facilitate and implement recruitment and selection processes for job seekers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to verify the quality of services offered to the public.
- Assist with the registration of job seekers on the ESSA database.
Qualifications
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following academic criteria:
- Hold a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6/7) in Psychology or Industrial Psychology.
- Candidates holding an Honours Degree in the aforementioned fields will be given preference.
- Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Registered Counsellor (Independent Practice) or Psychometrist (Independent Practice) will be an added advantage.
Experience
No prior work experience is required, making this programme ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain relevant exposure in the labour and employment field. However, a demonstrable interest in career guidance, counselling, and labour market trends will support a successful application.
