Background & Job Description
Eskom Rotek Industries (ERI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd, is looking for 8 Quantum Drivers to join the Waste Management Logistics Services team. These positions are based across several key power stations including Medupi, Matimba, Duvha, Arnot, and Camden. The primary responsibility for these roles is to transport employees and materials safely and efficiently between various operational sites.

Tasks
As a Quantum Driver, your key responsibilities will include:
- Transporting employees between work sites
- Delivering goods and essential materials safely to and from various sites
- Adhering to SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) protocols related to vehicle operations
- Ensuring compliance with company and departmental transport plans
- Performing daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Completing accident reports when required
- Maintaining detailed travel and delivery logs
Qualifications
To qualify for this role, applicants must possess:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate or equivalent
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License
Experience
Applicants are expected to bring with them:
- At least 5 years of proven driving experience, ideally in a similar waste management or logistics role
Skills and Competencies
Candidates should have the following:
- Strong ability to work without supervision
- Excellent communication skills to interact with staff and management
- A strong commitment to safety standards and procedures
- Proficiency in accident reporting procedures
- Knowledge of transport logistics and planning
- Basic understanding of SHE protocols applicable to vehicle usage
