Background & Job Description
The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL), in partnership with Base Major CSCEC Joint Venture (BMC SCJV), invites applications for a variety of work-experiential training opportunities. These programmes aim to bridge the gap between theoretical studies and professional practice, targeting graduates and students who require workplace exposure to graduate or gain professional registration.
This initiative supports individuals pursuing registration with bodies such as:
- ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa)
- SACPCMP (South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions)
- SACQSP (South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession)
- SAGC (South African Geomatics Council)
Tasks
Selected candidates will be placed on the EB Cloete Interchange (Spaghetti Junction) project site, where they will:
- Assist engineers and construction professionals with daily operations
- Participate in planning, execution, and monitoring of infrastructure projects
- Gain exposure to construction site management, technical reporting, and health and safety standards
- Engage in real-world applications of engineering and built environment concepts
- Complete logbooks or portfolios for academic or professional registration
Qualifications
The programme caters to multiple qualification levels, with specific requirements for each category:
1. Graduates from Universities
- Field: Civil Engineering (Degree)
- Requirement: Degree certificate in Civil Engineering

2. Graduates from Universities of Technology (UOTs)
- Fields: Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management

3. P1 & P2 Students (UOTs)

Experience
