Medirite Plus, a trusted name in retail pharmacy under the Shoprite Group, is currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Sales Assistant at their Cresta Crossing branch in Randburg. This customer-focused role requires an individual who is hardworking, service-oriented, and passionate about assisting shoppers in a healthcare retail environment.
As a Pharmacy Sales Assistant, your key responsibility will be to ensure the retail section of the pharmacy operates efficiently, supporting customers with product knowledge and delivering exceptional customer service. This is a permanent opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and inclusive retail pharmacy setting.
Tasks
- Handle customer payments accurately using the store’s Point of Sale (POS) system
- Ensure sales and receipts are balanced in accordance with company protocols
- Monitor in-store activity to prevent shoplifting and enhance security
- Keep abreast of new product offerings and update your product knowledge regularly
- Replenish stock and ensure the sales floor is well-organized and merchandised
- Conduct regular price audits to identify and resolve pricing discrepancies
- Maintain clean and visually appealing product displays
- Process customer returns and refunds promptly and professionally
- Stay informed on all in-store promotions and discounts
- Maintain a clean working environment through proper housekeeping routines
- Provide personalized advice and recommend products tailored to customer needs
- Escalate unresolved customer issues to management
Qualifications
- A Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is essential
Experience
- Minimum of 5 months’ experience working at a retail point of sale/till point
- Demonstrated retail sales experience in a similar customer-facing environment
