The Ford Graduate Programme 2025 presents an exciting and transformative opportunity for recent graduates passionate about shaping the future of mobility. Hosted at Ford Motor Company’s world-class manufacturing facility in Port Elizabeth, this programme is tailored to offer structured exposure to key operational areas within the company.
This is a full-time, in-person graduate opportunity that aims to groom ambitious, innovative, and highly driven individuals who have recently completed their tertiary education. Ford’s Eastern Cape facility is seeking talented graduates to join multiple streams including Industrial Engineering, Quality, Production Systems, Safety, and Human Resources (HR).
Selected candidates will be immersed in a hands-on learning environment, enabling them to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world contexts while contributing to Ford’s mission to design smarter, cleaner, and more efficient vehicles.
Tasks
Applicants will be part of a multidisciplinary team and can expect to engage in the following responsibilities, depending on the specific stream:
- Contribute to process improvements across manufacturing operations.
- Support in the development and deployment of Ford Production Systems.
- Assist with quality assurance protocols, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with HR teams on recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement.
- Drive and support workplace safety strategies and initiatives.
- Participate in innovation and continuous improvement workshops.
- Report to relevant supervisors and participate in cross-functional meetings.
Qualifications
To be eligible for the Ford Graduate Programme 2025, applicants must meet the following qualification criteria:
- Must have successfully completed a relevant Bachelor’s Degree or BTech qualification in one of the following fields:
- Industrial Engineering
- Human Resources (HR)
- Quality Management
- Safety Management
- Production/Manufacturing Systems
- Achieved a minimum pass rate of 65% or higher in their final academic results.
- Only candidates who have already completed their qualifications will be considered. Students who are still completing their studies will not be eligible.
Experience
- No prior work experience is required, but any internship or work-integrated learning (WIL) experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment would be advantageous.
- Applicants should demonstrate strong analytical thinking, proactive problem-solving abilities, and adaptability in high-performance team settings.
- Leadership potential, innovation mindset, and willingness to grow in a global company are desirable traits.
