Tasks
As part of the 2-year graduate internship, successful candidates will be exposed to:
- Technical training and hands-on exposure to Absa’s Technology Estate.
- Real-world problem solving using design thinking methodologies.
- Strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving projects.
- Agile and multidisciplinary collaboration across teams.
- The development of personal branding and leadership capabilities aligned with Absa’s GenA Leadership Philosophy.
- A positive organisational culture rooted in inclusion, courage, and innovation.
- Practical application of digital and data-driven tools in banking transformation.
- Full access to interactive learning modules and intentional mentorship from technology experts.
Qualifications
To qualify for the Technology Graduate Programme, applicants must meet the following academic criteria:
- Hold at least an Honours Degree or equivalent.
- Maintain a minimum academic average of 60%.
- Be set to complete their degree by 31 March 2026.
- Must have studied one of the following disciplines:
- Computer Science
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Information Systems
- Information Technology
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Mathematics
- Mechanical Engineering
- Operational Research
- Statistics
- Data Science
- Telecommunications
Experience
No previous work experience is required; however, ideal candidates should:
