Tasks
As a Grants Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the administration of social grants at the local office level
- Screening all grant applications effectively
- Capturing applications on the SASSA system
- Providing responsive customer care services
- Processing various grant documentation and customer-related tasks
- Performing general grant administration functions
- Ensuring compliance with Section 57 of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Chapter 6, Part 3
Qualifications
To qualify for the role of Grants Administrator, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- A Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) is required
- Computer literacy is essential
- Candidates with a valid driver’s license will have an added advantage
- Administrative or clerical experience will be considered beneficial
Experience
While not mandatory, prior experience in administrative or clerical duties will be advantageous for applicants. This includes working in environments where customer interaction and document processing are key functions.
