Job Description:
The Administration Clerk will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of administrative functions at the Pietermaritzburg branch. This position plays a crucial role in supporting daily business operations by managing documents, coordinating with internal departments, and maintaining accurate records using internal systems such as Milas.
The successful candidate will assist in switchboard operations, handle clerical tasks, process customer orders, generate quotations, and support stock control processes. Attention to detail, the ability to prioritize tasks, and excellent communication skills are essential to perform in this role.
Requirements:
Required Minimum Education/Training:
- Matric (Grade 12)
Required Minimum Work Experience:
- Minimum of 1-year experience in an administrative role
Role Responsibilities:
- Operate the branch switchboard with professionalism and efficiency
- Assist with receiving customer orders and process them through the Milas system
- Generate accurate quotations for walk-in or cash customers
- File and manage invoices and other essential hand documents
- Coordinate the ordering and control of stationery for the branch
- Capture and update daily production figures on Milas
- Perform daily stock transfer processing
- Maintain accurate leave records by capturing leave requests
- Provide overall clerical support to the branch management and sales teams
These responsibilities are critical in ensuring that administrative workflows are seamless and compliant with company standards.
