Job Description:
The Phlebotomy Technician Learnership is a structured training programme combining theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical experience. The selected learners will receive training at one of the three PathCare Academy campuses and will be placed at various PathCare laboratories and depots across South Africa for practical learning.
Learners will be educated on how to collect and handle blood samples and other biological products, patient care protocols, laboratory procedures, and pathology services. The programme culminates in a formal qualification that meets industry standards and prepares the learner for entry into the healthcare workforce as a qualified Phlebotomy Technician.
Requirements:
To be considered for this competitive and rewarding programme, applicants must meet the following specific academic and personal requirements:
- South African National Senior Certificate (NSC/Matric)
- Life Sciences or Biology pass rate of at least 50%, or HBM (Human Biology) pass rate of 60% or higher
- Mathematics pass rate of at least 40%, or Mathematical Literacy of 60% or higher
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently
- Basic proficiency in Afrikaans
- South African ID document
- Certified copy of Matric Certificate
