Job Opportunity: General Worker at Mooiplaas Ranger Section, Kruger National Park
SANparks General Workers 2025 South African National Parks (SANParks) is currently seeking a dedicated and physically fit individual to fill the role of General Worker in the Mooiplaas Ranger Section, located within the world-renowned Kruger National Park. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about conservation and contributing to the daily upkeep and preservation of the park’s vital operations.
Location:
Kruger National Park, Mooiplaas Ranger Section
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric certificate)
- Valid Code B Driver’s License
- Physically fit and in good health
- Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
- Familiarity with working in a National Park environment
- Practical understanding of tools, including handling, maintenance, and aftercare
- Ability to assist with routine maintenance and support functions at the ranger post
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance of water supply systems
- Participate in game capture operations
- Assist with waste disposal and sanitation activities
- Support efforts in alien invasive plant control
- Participate in fire management and controlled burning activities
- Take part in soil erosion prevention tasks
- General cleaning and maintenance of facilities
- Undertake ad hoc duties as instructed by Supervisors or Park Management
