Role Summary: Make a Critical Difference
As an Ambulance Emergency Assistant, you will support emergency care delivery in line with the ILS scope of practice. You’ll be responsible for responding to emergencies, providing patient-centered medical support, and maintaining operational readiness on every shift.
Job Requirements
- Ambulance Emergency Assistant (AEA/ILS) qualification
- HPCSA registration as an AEA/ILS
- Valid driver’s license and Public Driver’s Permit (PrDP)
- At least 1 year of operational EMS experience (advantageous)
- Strong understanding of HPCSA Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG)
- Familiarity with Patient Report Forms and emergency documentation
- Compliance with ethical and professional standards
- CPG certificate required if qualification obtained before 2018
