What is DBE Graduate Internship Programme 2025?

Minimum Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be unemployed South African citizens.
  • Hold either a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or a tertiary qualification in an eligible field.
  • Have studied at a recognised South African institution.
  • Not have previously participated in a DBE internship programme.
  • Show commitment to professional growth, education, and public service.

Role Responsibility

Interns will be responsible for:

  • Supporting various divisions within the Department of Basic Education.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks, project coordination, research, and data analysis.
  • Contributing to policy development, educational programmes, and communication initiatives.
  • Applying technical knowledge in IT, research, law, or other specialised areas.
  • Participating in mentorship, workshops, and training sessions to improve skills.
