The Mintek MQA Internship Programme 2025 provides an exciting opportunity for graduates in Metallurgical Engineering and Chemical Engineering to gain hands-on workplace experience. This 12-month internship, based in Randburg, offers mentorship, exposure to cutting-edge research projects, and the chance to apply academic knowledge to real-world challenges in mineral processing and engineering.
What is Mintek MQA Internship?
The Mintek MQA Internship is a structured graduate programme designed to bridge the gap between academic studies and professional practice. Successful candidates will join Mintek’s project teams and contribute to research, development, and innovation projects. The programme aims to develop critical technical skills, workplace readiness, and industry-specific expertise that will help interns build successful careers in engineering and mining.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A completed Degree (NQF Level 7) in:
- Metallurgical Engineering, or
- Chemical Engineering
- An excellent academic record with a minimum average of 60%
- South African citizenship
- Applicants must submit all required certified documentation
Role Responsibility:
As an intern at Mintek, responsibilities will include:
- Supporting research and development projects in metallurgical and chemical engineering
- Assisting in process testing, analysis, and optimisation
- Preparing technical reports and presentations
- Contributing to team-based projects under the guidance of experienced professionals
- Applying theoretical knowledge to practical workplace challenges
