Introduction

Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa is recruiting Experiential Trainees (18 posts) for a six-month Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programme. This initiative is designed for ambitious and self-motivated students in Industrial, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering disciplines. The traineeship provides a valuable opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in a dynamic, world-class automotive manufacturing environment.

What is Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa Experiential Trainee Programme?

The Experiential Trainee Programme offers six months of full-time, on-site Work Integrated Learning (WIL) at Ford’s manufacturing facilities in Pretoria. It equips engineering students with workplace exposure, industry knowledge, and practical skills to complement their academic studies. Trainees will follow a structured training plan aligned with university requirements and Ford’s internal training schedules.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • Full academic record with all S1-S5 modules successfully completed
  • Minimum pass rate of 65% in discipline-specific modules
  • Relevant engineering fields include:
    • Industrial Engineering (6 posts)
    • Electrical Engineering (6 posts)
    • Mechanical Engineering (6 posts)
  • Must attach the following documents:
    • Full CV
    • Certified copy of ID document
    • Certified copy of matric certificate
    • Certified university academic transcripts
    • Qualification certificate (if available)
