Introduction

This structured learnership is designed to provide learners with essential technical and workplace skills in a manufacturing environment. Participants will undergo training in production, maintenance, safety, and mechanical operations, preparing them for future roles in the automotive and manufacturing industries. On successful completion, learners will achieve an NQF Level 3 certification.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to qualify:

• National Technical Certificate [N3 – N6]
• Matric or Technical Matric with the following subjects:
  • Mathematics & Physical Science or Engineering Science
  • Electrical Trade Theory or Mechanical Trade Theory
  • Motor Trade Theory
  • Mechanical Drawing or Graphical Design

Role Responsibility

During the Toyota Learner Maintenance Programme, participants will complete intensive theoretical and practical training, including:

• Working effectively in a team environment
• Applying workplace safety and correct use of hand tools
• Interpreting and applying assembly and manufacturing drawings
• Performing marking off and welding tasks
• Operating and monitoring production machines
• Preparing surfaces for production processes
• Firefighting and emergency safety procedures
• Handling operations and dispatch of finished products
