This opportunity is open to professional drivers who meet all requirements and are ready to demonstrate their driving skills through the company’s weekly walk-in application and testing process.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

• Code 14 driver’s license held for at least 2 years
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) with at least 3 months validity from the date of application
• Minimum of 2 years’ driving experience with an 8-ton truck or larger
• Age requirement: at least 25 years old and not older than 65
• Valid original South African ID and driver’s license (or valid temporary documents)
• Suitable references with contact details must be provided
• Applications from Code 10 drivers will not be considered

Role Responsibility

The role of a Code 14 Driver at Hestony Transport includes the following responsibilities:

• Operating heavy-duty vehicles safely and efficiently
• Transporting goods across designated routes within South Africa
• Ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company safety standards
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Reporting mechanical issues or incidents immediately to the fleet department
• Maintaining accurate logbooks and delivery records
• Providing excellent customer service during deliveries

• Strong attention to detail when handling deliveries and documentation

Remuneration:

• Code 14 Driver: R15,000 per month
• Driver’s Assistant: R8,500 per month
