Responsibilities
As part of this position, successful applicants will:
- Assist in the administration of Social Grants at Local Office level.
- Effectively screen all grant applications and capture applications on the system.
- Provide customer care and off-site grants application processes.
- Process and verify grant documentation and perform other grants administration functions.
- Conduct quality control on grant applications.
- Ensure adherence to Section 57 of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Chapter 6, Part 3.
Minimum Requirements
- Senior Certificate plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) as recognized by SAQA in a relevant field.
- Computer Literacy is essential.
- Valid driver’s license and/or administrative/clerical experience will be an added advantage.
Employment Equity Preferences
- Port Nolloth Local Office: African Male → Coloured Male → White Male → Indian Male (in order of preference).
- Kakamas Local Office: African Female → African Male (in order of preference).
Preference applies at the time of appointment.
