Netcare Pharmasists 2024 Vacancies The Assistant Pharmacy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the pharmacy department in line with Netcare Pharmacy Division’s strategic themes. This role involves managing all related pharmacy services and activities according to the policies, procedures, and objectives of the Netcare Group.
- Location: Netcare Kroon Hospital
- Division: Hospital Division
- Reporting Structure: Directly to the Hospital Manager and indirectly to the Regional Pharmacy Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of cost-effective, quality patient pharmaceutical care.
- Ensure compliance with the South African Pharmacy Council and Good Pharmacy Practice.
- Maintain pharmaceutical standards, clinical pharmacy services, quality assurance, and risk management.
- Act as the ‘Responsible Pharmacist’ for all areas where pharmaceuticals are stored.
- Manage Schedule 5 and 6 drugs per legal requirements.
- Oversee case management and application of managed care contracts.
- Manage pharmacy financials, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Netcare stock system policies and procedures.
- Oversee the hospital billing department, ensuring timely billing of discharged files and audit results.
Educational Requirements:
- B.Pharm Degree or Dip.Pharm (NQF level 7).
- Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council.
- Management qualification is advantageous.
Work Experience for Netcare Assistant Pharmacy Manager – Kroon Hospital:
- Minimum of 1 year experience managing a private hospital pharmacy.
