Job Description

As a Trainee Call Centre Agent at Old Mutual, you will play a crucial role in responding to administrative requirements and providing excellent customer service. You will be accountable for achieving results through your efforts, with the support, coaching, and direct supervision of our experienced team. Old Mutual Call Centre Agents 2024

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement:

  • Service customers, advisors, brokers, executors, and third parties through various channels, including inbound calls, emails, and digital applications.
  • Assist with enquiries related to claims, withdrawals, policy changes or amendments, and money management issues such as premiums and debit order queries.
  • Communicate progress to clients and ensure their needs are met efficiently.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal information and handle it with utmost care.

Support and Compliance:

  • Manage complaints, escalations, and queries with customers, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations, similar to practices in public liability insurance and business insurance.
  • Receive and submit Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements and Balance of Payments (BoP) forms for offshore transactions.
  • Process instructions and supporting documentation via POCR processes.

Quality Assurance:

  • Adhere to service and quality standards as provided by the Client Experience Team, reflecting the high standards seen in commercial insurance and small business insurance.

Requirements: Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Qualifications:

  • Matric or equivalent NQF aligned qualification.
  • Proof of current 1st or 2nd-year registration in a recognized tertiary institution.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize work and collaborate with others to accomplish objectives.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Initiative in taking action and planning & organizing tasks.
  • Team orientation and technical knowledge of OML applications such as EMS, Omunet, Bizagi, GCS, and Secure Services (advantageous).

Additional Requirements:

  • Applicants must be part-time and correspondence students.
  • Availability to work the following compulsory shifts:
  • Monday to Friday: 10h00 – 17h00 (minimum 5 hours per day)
  • Saturday: 8h00 – 13h00 (per operational requirements)
