As a Consultant, Cash (Level 1), your primary responsibility will be to assist walk-in customers with their cash and card-related transactions. This includes handling teller services, ATM-related queries, MoneyGram transactions, and other cash-related matters. You will assess customer needs accurately and provide solutions that align with Standard Bankā€™s financial offerings, ensuring that customers receive top-notch service. Your role will be critical in maintaining the bankā€™s reputation for reliability and trustworthiness in managing cash transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling cash and card-related inquiries from walk-in customers, ensuring that their needs are met efficiently and professionally.
  • Providing teller services, assisting with ATM queries, and facilitating MoneyGram transactions.
  • Understanding and adhering to the bank’s policies and procedures related to cash handling, bulk cash, and ATM services.
  • Ensuring all transactions are processed within the parameters of Standard Bank’s financial offerings.
  • Collaborating with other departments within the branch to ensure seamless customer service and support.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Type of Qualification: NQF Level 5 qualification.
  • Field of Study: Not applicable.

Experience Required:

  • Client Coverage:
    • 1-2 years of experience in personal and private banking, with a focus on branch banking.
    • A solid understanding of the bankā€™s policies and procedures, particularly in frontline support, cash handling, and ATM services.
    • Familiarity with the legal aspects of cash handling.
    • Knowledge of other departments within the branch and their functions.

  • Articulating Information: Effectively communicating with customers to understand their needs and provide accurate information.
