One such position is that of an Admission Clerk, a vital role that ensures the smooth operation of patient admissions and plays a key role in the overall patient experience.

A position has become available for a committed individual to join Life Groenkloof Hospital as an Admission Clerk, reporting to the Reception Supervisor.Critical Outputs

  • Responsible for accurately recording all admissions of patients to the hospital.
  • The successful candidate is accountable for:
  • Carrying out accurate admission and receptionist duties for the hospital.
  • Performing general administration duties involved in the admission of patients,
  • Including filing and assistance with billing of accounts.
  • Admitting patients onto Impilo.
  • Operating the switchboard.
  • Handling money.
  • Liaising with medical aids to obtain authorisation for admission

Requirements

  • Matric Certificate will be required.
  • Previous experience working with Impilo and IMEDS will be an advantage. Must be computer literate and have excellent typing skills
  • Fully bilingual and have good communication skills. Reliable, motivated, committed and hardworking.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be professional and polite at all times.
  • Accurate handling of cash and trustworthy. (ITC check will be performed).
  • Must be figure orientated with attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in the medical field will be an advantage.
