Key Responsibilities
During the program, participants will:
- Make underwriting decisions under the guidance of a mentor.
- Manage intermediary inquiries and provide advice on specific underwriting requirements.
- Accurately capture information in the product administration system.
- Communicate effectively with clients and distribution channels in writing.
- Stay updated on industry trends and underwriting standards.

Role Requirements
Candidates interested in the Trainee Underwriter Program must meet the following criteria:
- A Matric certificate with either Biology/Life Sciences and Mathematics or Biology/Life Sciences and Accounting.
- A relevant tertiary qualification (BSc, BCom, or a medically aligned degree at NQF level 7).
- Previous experience in a telephonic customer service role is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English, with fluency in an additional African language being beneficial.
- Competency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.
- An understanding of life insurance products and processes is a plus.
