- Salary/Stipend: R 5000 per month, 100% Medical aid contribution, Transport allowance, Cell Phone Allowance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Monitoring and Reporting: Stay informed about MSF’s presence in the media, create comprehensive reports, and maintain an organized archive.
- Media List Management: Continuously update media contact lists, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness for media outreach.
- Media Pitching: Develop engaging story pitches and share them with relevant media outlets.
- Medical Journal Support: Assist in curating, editing, and submitting content for medical journals, strengthening MSF’s relationship with medical audiences.
- Reporting and Analysis: Contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly media reports, providing insights into MSF’s media coverage.
Qualifications:
- Recent graduate with a degree or diploma in Communications, Media, Journalism, Public Relations, or related fields.
- Understanding of the South African media landscape.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for humanitarian work.
