City of Tshwane is Hiring! General Workers (2 Posts) The City of Tshwane’s Department of Community & Social Development is seeking dedicated General Workers to join their team in Regions 1 and 3. As a General Worker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment within our offices and facilities. Your primary focus will be on various cleaning tasks, ensuring the interiors and fixtures are always in top condition.
- Closing Date: 30.09.2024
- Location: Regions 1 and 3, City of Tshwane
- Salary/Stipend: R143 580,00 – R167 808,00 per annum (Estimated Remuneration Package: R242 830,23 – R273 667,23 per annum)
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweeping, vacuuming, washing, and polishing floors, furniture, and other fixtures
- Cleaning kitchens and assisting with kitchen work, including dishwashing
- Collecting and disposing of rubbish
- Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and toilets
- Dusting carpets and furniture
- Moving furniture and goods
- Loading and unloading furniture and goods from vehicles
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to perform assigned duties
- Basic literacy
- Physical fitness and good health
- Ability to work in demanding physical conditions for extended periods
