Sanlam is Hiring x8 Branch Consultants Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanlam Life Limited, is a prominent financial services provider in South Africa’s entry-level and emerging middle markets. The SA Retail Mass cluster, responsible for managing SDM, forms part of the larger Sanlam Life and Savings cluster.

As a Branch Consultant, your role will be to promote Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) products, increase market share, and provide high-quality financial advice and client service within a branch setting. You will actively seek opportunities for cross-selling value-added services and play a vital role in branch sales and client retention efforts. Additionally, you’ll manage compliance, risk, and quality, while ensuring accurate reporting of sales and service activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell SRM products while enhancing client satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and client optimisation.
- Ensure retail branch sales targets are met.
- Manage compliance, quality, and risk protocols.
- Plan and report monthly sales and service activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (Area Managers, Business Owners, activation sites, community forums, etc.).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Matric (Grade 12) required.
- RE5 (Regulatory Examination) qualification advantageous.
- FAIS compliant, as per DOFA requirements in Wealth Management.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a sales or marketing role (experience in insurance branches is an advantage).

- Sales: Knowledge of sales tactics, cross-selling strategies, and client optimisation techniques.
- Insurance Knowledge: Familiarity with the insurance landscape and regulatory guidelines for advising and selling products.
