Dept of Education is Hiring x30 Compliance Assistants Are you a young, qualified accounting or auditing professional looking for an opportunity to make a difference? The Limpopo Department of Education is offering thirty (30) Compliance Assistant positions under the Presidential Youth Empowerment Initiatives (PYEI). This is your chance to gain valuable experience in the public sector and contribute to a vital program aimed at empowering South African youth.

- Location: Head Office (Polokwane) and various Districts throughout Limpopo Province
- Stipend: R4081.00 per month (inclusive of 1% UIF deduction)
- Reference: LDoE 01/09/2024 (Head Office) & LDoE 02/09/2024 (Districts)
As a Compliance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation and monitoring of the PYEI Phase III project. Your daily tasks will include:
- Maintaining meticulous records of the PYEI Phase III project
- Auditing fund transfers to schools and payroll for appointed Education Assistants and General School Assistants
- Consolidating data on appointed assistants using MS Excel spreadsheets and the Department Management System (DMS)
- Generating monthly reports based on school reports
- Supporting Circuit Managers in implementing and monitoring PYEI activities
- Organizing and maintaining compliance documents related to appointments, contracts, training, and payments
- Participating in training sessions on the DMS used for PYEI Phase III
Qualifications:
- Age: 19 – 35 years old
- Education: National Diploma in Auditing, Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, or a related field. A BCom Accounting degree is advantageous.
- Skills: Computer literacy, strong record-keeping abilities, and proficiency in MS Excel.
