O.R. Tambo District Municipality Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) 2026 The O.R Tambo District Municipality requires the services of suitable qualified persons to participate in its Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP Integrated Grant and In-house Projects).
Duration of the Programme
01 July 2026 – 30 June 2027
(Duration: 12 Months)
Programme Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be strictly residing in the O.R. Tambo District Municipality and specific area that the project is implemented.
- Provide proof: Confirmation Letter from Ward Councilor confirming residency and indigence.
- Be under the age of 45.
- Be unemployed.
- Women and people with disability are encouraged to apply.
- Preference will be given to those that have never participated in the programme before.
- Preference will be given to males for grass cutters.
Generic Performance Areas
- Execute legal instructions given by the Supervisor.
- Identify and report water leaks, landscaping (grounds management, grass cutting and cleaning), office cleaning in line with the project.
- Perform any other duties related to the supply of water and sanitation within the district and provision of community services.

- Certified copies of qualifications, CV, ID Copy, a brief covering letter stating the position applying for and proof: confirmation letter from Ward Councilor confirming residency and indigence must be uploaded. Failure to upload the required documents will result in disqualification.
- Applicants must upload a clear copy of their CV in either PDF or Word format. Only submit the CV on the upload CV section of the application form and not a PDF that includes other documents such as ID, Driver’s License and other documents. The application format will make provision for candidates to upload supporting documents.
- When an applicant has not been notified of the results within three (03) months or ninety (90) days from the closing date, the application should be regarded as unsuccessful.
- The Council reserves the right not to continue with the recruitment process if suitable candidates are not found.
