Key Responsibilities of the Adidas Retail Sales Associate
The Retail Sales Associate will actively contribute to the store’s performance and create memorable customer interactions. Below are the core responsibilities:
1. Customer Service Excellence
- Deliver the highest level of service to every customer, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Assist customers with product recommendations and help them find the perfect product.
- Occasionally function as a Greeter at the store entrance during peak hours.
2. Sales Transactions & Operations Support
- Process sales transactions involving cash, credit, and other payment methods efficiently.
- Acquire proficiency in the point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring all transactions follow company policies.
- Utilize sales techniques such as product upselling, cross-selling, and technical product descriptions to maximize sales.
3. Product Handling and Merchandising
- Support product flow from the stockroom to the sales floor when necessary.
- Assist in the merchandising and display of products by following guidelines from the management team.
- Take part in ticketing new stock and verifying products against delivery paperwork.
4. Store Security and Housekeeping
- Ensure company assets and stock are secure, minimizing shrinkage risks.
- Maintain general housekeeping standards to present an appealing store environment to customers.
