Key Purpose of the Learnership
This Learnership program provides a nationally recognized FETC: Long-Term Insurance NQF Level 4 qualification, combining theoretical education and practical workplace experience. Participants will develop skills in customer servicing, claims management, and health benefits administration, primarily in a call center environment.
Core Responsibilities
As a participant in the Learnership program, you will gain exposure to various aspects of Discovery Health, including:
- Call Center Operations:
- Handling medical aid client servicing.
- Managing claims processes.
- Facilitating new business queries.
- Administering health benefits.
- Client Communication:
- Addressing client inquiries effectively and efficiently.
- Ensuring client satisfaction through high-quality service.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Educational Qualifications
- Grade 12 certificate is mandatory.
- Minimum scores:
- Maths: Level 4 (50%).
- English: Level 4 (50%).
- Maths Literacy: Level 5 (60%).
- Second Language: Level 4 (50%).
Other Requirements
- Ages between 18 and 25 years.
- Not currently engaged in post-Matric studies or formal employment.
- No prior Learnerships completed.
- Proficient in basic computer skills, especially MS Excel and MS Outlook.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
