This Absa Junior Learner programme combines both theoretical training and on-the-job experience, giving participants real-time exposure to the inner workings of Sales and Service Enablement in Home Loans. It is part of Absa’s long-term commitment to nurturing future leaders in banking and financial services across Africa.
Tasks
As a Junior Learner, your responsibilities and tasks will include:
- Participating in all scheduled classroom-based training sessions
- Engaging in workplace learning and job shadowing in Absa’s Home Loans department
- Assisting with customer queries and solutions through different digital and contact channels
- Demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Managing your own learning progress and staying accountable for academic performance
- Applying problem-solving strategies to assist clients efficiently
- Demonstrating teamwork, professionalism, and excellent service orientation in all interactions
Qualifications
To be eligible for this learnership, applicants must meet the following essential qualifications:
- A completed Degree or an equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
- Must be proficient in English (written and spoken)
- Must be computer literate
- Must be unemployed and not currently registered in any other learnership or academic programme
- Must be available full-time for the entire 12-month programme duration
- Must not be older than 30 years of age at the time of application
- Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident
- Submit a detailed CV, including contactable references
- Include certified copies of academic certificates, identity document, and proof of address
