Introduction
The South African Council for Educators (SACE) is inviting unemployed South African graduates to apply for the Internship Programme 2025/2027. This structured 24-month programme is designed to provide young graduates with meaningful workplace exposure, guided mentorship, and practical skills development. It is especially beneficial for individuals who have never had work experience or previously participated in an internship.
What is the South African Council for Educators (SACE) Internship Programme?
The SACE Internship Programme aims to empower graduates through practical learning and mentorship. By participating, interns will gain professional experience while contributing to the organisation’s core functions in communications and administration. The programme runs for two years, offering a monthly stipend aligned with NQF qualification levels.
Available Internship Positions
- Communication Intern – SACE Head Office (Centurion)
- Reference: COMS 001 (01 post)
- Minimum Qualification: Honours Degree (NQF 8) in Digital Communications, Media Studies, Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations
- Registration Intern – SACE Limpopo Office (Polokwane)
- Reference: SACE LIMPOPO 002 (01 post)
- Minimum Qualification: Diploma (NQF 6) in Management Assistant, Office Management, or Public Management
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be unemployed and under the age of 35
- Have never participated in an internship programme before
- Not have prior formal work experience
- Be willing to commit to a 24-month internship contract signed between SACE and the ETDP-SETA
- As part of Employment Equity, applications from designated groups are strongly encouraged
