Job Description
The Administrator: Regulatory Forex is responsible for supporting the minimization of risk in the Forex Department by overseeing compliance functions, particularly in relation to the Treasury Outsourcing Companies (TOC) model. The successful candidate will work closely with the Regulatory Specialist: Forex to identify and mitigate potential risk areas while ensuring adherence to local and international financial regulations. Additionally, this role involves managing administrative tasks related to compliance and risk functions in a professional and efficient manner.

They should have a keen understanding of financial legislation, risk management principles, and foreign exchange regulations. Role Responsibilities
- Conduct oversight functions related to the Treasury Outsourcing Companies (TOC) model to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Assist the Regulatory Specialist: Forex in identifying and mitigating risks related to foreign exchange operations
- Handle risk-related administrative queries efficiently and professionally
- Ensure compliance with key financial legislation, including:
- Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS)
- Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FIC Act)
- Financial Markets Act (FMA)
- Monitor anti-money laundering (AML) and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) compliance standards
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of Customer Due Diligence (CDD) requirements
- Perform document control and regulatory reporting functions
- Support project coordination and compliance auditing tasks
- Ensure efficient office administration processes within the Forex Department
Skills & Attributes
- Attention to Detail – Ability to meticulously review compliance documents and identify potential risks
- Strong Communication Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication for regulatory reporting and correspondence
- Computer Literacy – Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook

Experience & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 1 – 2 years of compliance review or audit experience within the financial services or retail banking industry
- Grade 12 National Certificate/Vocational (Matric)
- Strong knowledge of financial regulatory frameworks and legislative requirements
Ideal Qualifications & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Risk and Compliance or Law (preferred)
- 1 – 2 years experience in a compliance or oversight function within a Forex or Treasury environment
- Previous experience in project coordination
- Knowledge of foreign exchange principles and cross-border remittances
- Compliance practitioner accreditation would be advantageous
Knowledge Requirements
- Strong understanding of financial regulations applicable to banks and Forex operations
- Expertise in AML and CFT standards
- Familiarity with regulatory risk management and document control
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements
- Awareness of foreign exchange regulatory compliance
