About the 18.2 Electrician Learnership Programme

This learnership programme is structured under the 18.2 Learnership Agreement, which will be registered with the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA). Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) with passes in:
  • Pure Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy)
  • Physical Science
  • English
• N2 Certificate with four relevant subjects:
  • Mathematics
  • Engineering Science
  • Two additional subjects aligned with the electrical trade
• Engineering NCV Certificates with seven subjects at NQF level 4.
• Technical Grade 11 with:
  • Mathematics, Science, Language, and related trade theory.
• N6 Certificate or National Technical Diploma (T, S, or N stream) directly related to the electrical trade.
• A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
