About the 18.2 Electrician Learnership Programme

This learnership programme is structured under the 18.2 Learnership Agreement, which will be registered with the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA). The agreement ensures that participants receive formal training aligned with industry standards and gain technical expertise required in the field of electrical engineering.

Who Should Apply?

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) with passes in:
    • Pure Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy)
    • Physical Science
    • English
  • N2 Certificate with four relevant subjects:
    • Mathematics
    • Engineering Science
    • Two additional subjects aligned with the electrical trade
  • Engineering NCV Certificates with seven subjects at NQF level 4.
  • Technical Grade 11 with:
    • Mathematics, Science, Language, and related trade theory.
  • N6 Certificate or National Technical Diploma (T, S, or N stream) directly related to the electrical trade.
  • A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
