About the ARC Internship Opportunity

As an intern, you will be directly involved in initiatives aimed at improving animal recording and the overall performance of livestock. Here are the key performance areas you will be working on:

  1. Animal Recording and Improvement Services: Provide vital animal recording and improvement services to smallholder farmers, ensuring they have the data and insights needed to enhance their livestock operations.
  2. Farmer Training and Recruitment: Engage in the training and recruitment of farmers and teams as part of the Kaonafatso ya Dikgomo Beef Recording and Improvement Scheme. This initiative is designed to boost the productivity and efficiency of beef farming operations.
  3. On-site Farmer Visits: Conduct visits to farmers for the purpose of beef recording and improvement. This hands-on approach is crucial for understanding the challenges and opportunities within various farming contexts.
  4. Training New Participants: Lead training sessions for new participants in different phases of beef schemes, helping them to integrate best practices and innovative techniques into their operations.
  5. Focus Sessions and Meetings: Actively participate in focus sessions and meetings with farmer teams and individuals. This collaboration is key to driving collective progress and addressing specific needs within the farming community.

Qualifications and Requirements
