Introduction
Anglo American is inviting motivated young individuals from the Tsantsabane Municipality to apply for its Plant Learnership Programme 2025 at Kolomela Mine. This structured 24-month opportunity offers practical and theoretical training in mineral processing. The programme is designed to equip learners with the technical and professional skills required to thrive in mining operations, making it an excellent pathway into the mining industry.

What is Anglo American Plant Internships?
The Anglo American Plant Learnership Programme is a structured skills development initiative that provides unemployed youth with real-world exposure to mining operations. Through a combination of classroom learning and hands-on training, learners gain industry-relevant knowledge in mineral processing. Participants receive a stipend for the duration of the programme, full safety gear (PPE), and a nationally recognised MQA Certificate upon completion.

Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following entry criteria:

  • Grade 12 or Technical N3 qualification
  • Valid South African Driver’s License
  • Must pass a medical job-fit assessment (RFA)
  • Valid RFA fitness certificate before starting
  • Successful completion of the LPCAT assessment before commencement

Preference will be given to:

  • Applicants residing within Tsantsabane Municipality
  • Youth between the ages of 18–35 years

Role Responsibility:
As a Plant Learnership participant, responsibilities will include:

  • Adhering strictly to safety standards and mine regulations
  • Assisting with daily operational tasks within the plant
  • Supporting team members in mineral processing activities
  • Contributing to overall team goals and objectives
  • Actively engaging in both theoretical and on-the-job training sessions
