Minimum Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12 certificate (financial qualification advantageous)
- 2–5 years’ experience as a Costing Clerk in the automotive industry (preferably auto body repair)
- In-depth knowledge of repair and insurance processes
- Mandatory experience with Audatex/Abuntex systems
- Familiarity with Nett Assess and OUTsurance platforms (advantageous)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level)
- Ability to collaborate with motor assessors while ensuring compliance with insurer requirements
Role Responsibility:
- Capture and update costing data on relevant systems
- Liaise with insurers, clients, and assessors for approvals and claims
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, invoices, and related documentation
- Reconcile costs against work orders or job cards
- Identify and highlight discrepancies between estimated and actual costs
- Ensure compliance with company policies and insurer standards
- Support finance and workshop teams with administrative tasks
- Assist in improving efficiency in costing and reporting processes
