Avbob is currently looking for a skilled and motivated Handyman to join their team in Durbanville, Western Cape. This role is essential for maintaining the proper upkeep of Avbob’s funeral and insurance offices, ensuring facilities are safe, functional, and presentable. The Handyman will perform daily and monthly maintenance, carry out repairs, support improvements, and ensure a professional working environment for staff and clients.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 10 qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a general worker or handyman
• Willingness to work after hours and on weekends when required
• General handyman skills including:
  • Electrical work
  • Plumbing tasks
  • Painting
  • Carpentry or minor construction
  • Appliance repairs

Role Responsibility:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs, including electrical, plumbing, and minor building tasks
• Assist and report directly to the Foreman
• Provide support to complete all building-related maintenance activities
• Transport goods and materials as required
• Collect necessary materials from suppliers
• Maintain and organize personal tools and storage areas
• Clean the premises thoroughly after completing tasks
• Execute assigned work according to Head Office job cards under Foreman supervision
• Comply with all occupational health and safety regulations
• Undertake additional duties reasonably assigned by the company
