Apprenticeship Opportunity at Novus Print 2025 Novus Print, a leader in commercial printing and part of the Novus Holdings Group, is proud to announce its 2025 Apprenticeship Programme based in Montague Gardens, Cape Town. This structured programme aims to develop future artisans through focused theoretical and hands-on experiential training in key printing trades. As one of the most reputable print production companies in South Africa, Novus Print Montague Gardens offers selected candidates a unique opportunity to gain in-depth skills in the printing industry while contributing to one of the country’s largest print operations.

This apprenticeship is an excellent gateway into the professional world of printing and media, with training that is aligned with FP&M SETA and Printing SA standards. Starting in January 2026, the programme will run for a full 36 months, blending intensive academic instruction with on-site practical experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an apprentice at Novus Print, you’ll be trained in one of the following sought-after trades:

  • Lithography Press
  • Electronic Pre-Press
  • Mechanised Bookbinding
  • Gravure Press
  • Sheetfed Press

Your training journey will include:

  • Phase 1: Theoretical training for 3–4 months at an accredited academy
  • Phases 2–4: 26–30 months of experiential training at Novus Print Montague Gardens
  • Integrated learning through Printing SA and workplace-based practice
  • Preparation and readiness for your trade test in the selected discipline

Requirements (write it as it is)

  • Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
  • Mathematical Literacy with a pass rate of 50% (Please attach matric certificate or latest results)
  • A technical foundation would be advantageous

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in English (all course material is in English)
  • Willingness to work shifts
  • Exceptional colour perception
  • A technical interest or demonstrated technical aptitude would be an advantage
