Job Description

As a Member Value Intern, you will be placed at AVBOB branches where you will work closely with clients, assisting them in navigating and benefiting from the AVBOB Member Rewards Programme. This is a customer-facing role designed to ensure that every AVBOB client enjoys a seamless, informative, and professional service experience.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Providing professional and friendly service to clients visiting AVBOB branches
  • Assisting customers with inquiries and documenting all activities and resolutions
  • Escalating complex issues or customer complaints to the branch supervisor or Member Value Manager promptly
  • Facilitating the onboarding of clients onto the AVBOB Member Rewards Programme
  • Building lasting relationships with clients through proactive communication and follow-ups
  • Keeping client records up to date and logging all customer interactions
  • Using post-service surveys to identify and escalate any areas of concern
  • Keeping abreast of customer service trends and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Offering insights and suggestions to enhance AVBOB’s service offerings based on client feedback

Ideal Candidate

To qualify for the AVBOB Member Value Internship Programme, candidates must meet the following academic and eligibility criteria:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a South African citizen aged between 18 – 35 years
  • Must be currently unemployed and available for a 12-month internship
  • Must hold a 3-year degree or equivalent in one of the following disciplines:
    • Accounting
    • Economics
    • Information Systems
    • Marketing Management
    • Business Administration
    • Financial Degree

Preference will be given to graduates who have not participated in any internship programme related to their field of study.


Role Responsibility

The intern will serve as a liaison between the company and the client, ensuring that each customer interaction is impactful, informative, and resolves their needs effectively. You will be trained to adopt AVBOB’s values of integrity, empathy, and service excellence.

You will also be expected to contribute to building customer loyalty and trust while learning about the industry and contributing to real-time solutions in client engagement.

Key duties will include:
