- Regularly inspect site pathways for hazards, reporting any damages or infrastructure issues.
- Accurately complete and submit daily Vehicle Log Sheets, documenting distances and time spent in transit.
- Ensure all vehicle-related documents and keys are securely stored at the end of each shift.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure they are kept in optimal working condition.
- Report all incidents, accidents, or near misses involving BTT vehicles immediately.
- Drive with care and responsibility, avoiding any misuse or negligent handling of company vehicles.
- Conduct weekly inspections of all assigned vehicles and report any findings to supervisors.
- Safely transport employees to designated areas on-site or to other destinations as required.
- Distribute consumables and other materials across different sites according to operational needs.
- Take charge during emergencies by assisting in redirecting and controlling the flow of traffic effectively.
Requirements:
To qualify for the position of Traffic Marshall at BTT, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) or equivalent qualification
- Possession of a Code 10 Driver’s Licence with Professional Driving Permit (PDP) will be an added advantage
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, such as Flagman or Corporate Driver
