Purpose Statement

Key Responsibilities of a Capitec Service Consultant
- Provide exceptional customer service and exceed client expectations.
- Assist customers with inquiries about Capitec’s Global One product and services.
- Support customers with day-to-day banking transactions and troubleshooting.
- Build strong relationships with clients to maintain and grow client loyalty.
- Promote Capitec’s services to enhance the customer’s financial journey.
Experience Requirements
Minimum Experience Required:
- 3 to 6 months of client service experience in retail, financial, or banking sectors.
- OR Candidates with no prior experience but with a relevant tertiary qualification may also apply.
Ideal Experience:
- Over 1 year of experience in a client-facing, sales-driven environment within retail, financial, or banking sectors.
Qualifications Required
Minimum Qualification:
- Grade 12 (National Certificate or Vocational Qualification).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Commerce or Finance-related tertiary qualification (ideal).
- Certification in Finance or Banking will be an added advantage.
Knowledge Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:
- Basic calculations and numerical skills.
- Customer service principles in retail/consumer service environments.
Ideal Knowledge (Preferred but not mandatory):
- Familiarity with Capitec Bank’s products and services.
- Understanding of internal banking procedures, such as the Branch Credit Granting Policy (BCGP).
Key Skills Required for Success
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook (Computer Literacy).
