Cashbuild is seeking a dedicated General Assistant to join our dynamic team in Pretoria. This is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in the retail industry and contribute to a leading building materials supplier.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers, understand their needs, and provide expert product advice.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Suggest add-on sales and promote additional services like delivery, credit programs, and the VIC Customer Program.
- Ensure customer purchases are loaded carefully and efficiently.
- Stock Management:
- Assist with loading and merchandising of stock.
- Ensure accurate shelf price labeling.
- Maintain cleanliness and order within your designated area.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the dominant language spoken in the area.
- Basic math skills for accurate calculations.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively.
- Product knowledge certification is a plus.
