The primary function of the Revenue Call Centre Internship is to deliver a high level of service both telephonically and in writing. Interns are expected to analyze and identify account queries while taking initiative in resolving revenue-related issues. They will also log and escalate queries that cannot be resolved immediately to the relevant department. Throughout their internship, participants will meet or exceed the targets set by the Revenue and Customer Relationship Management (R & CRM) department while addressing the needs of the city’s residents.
Key Responsibilities
Interns will be responsible for the following:
- Query Logging and Resolution: Interns will follow set operational procedures to log revenue account-related queries for further processing by the appropriate back-end departments. They will also resolve queries requiring first-time resolution.
- Data Management: Interns will perform specific tasks related to maintaining electronically-based information, data, and records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Performance Management: Adherence to the City’s Performance Management Policy is expected, ensuring interns contribute effectively to the City of Johannesburg’s service delivery goals.
- Customer Relations: Interns will maintain strong working relationships with Revenue Shared Services Centre (RSSC) customers, peers, and other internal stakeholders to provide focused and effective support.
